A veteran DJ for nearly 30 years, many remember Chris Gallagher from back in the day at the legendary SIMONS in Florida when he was the club’s first resident DJ, starting in late 1990. He spun 8-hour sets every Friday night for nearly three years, helping to put SIMONS on the map and bringing the club to the forefront of the Florida underground music scene. Back then Chris ran the gamut of new sounds, taking people on serious, life-changing journeys during his extended sets. But whatever style he presented, the dancefloor was always the place to be and helped to give SIMONS the reputation it has today as one of the best underground clubs of the 1990s. In addition to maintaining a quarterly residency at SIMONS for over ten years, Chris was consistently a major figure in the Southeastern rave circuit, with performances too numerous to list here. However, he has had the pleasure of opening for such notables as: Paul Van Dyk, DJ Dan, Frankie Bones, John Debo, Doc Martin, Kimball Collins, Simply Jeff, DJ Icey, DJ Feelgood, Terry Mullan, Aphrodite, AK1200, Keoki, and Lady Miss Kier to name a few, as well as sharing the bill with Kimball for Sasha's first gig ever in the United States, at SIMONS in 92. Due to countless gigs over the years, Chris has been mentioned in magazines such as URB, Mixer, Streetsounds, Details, and other various publications.
Chris currently is focusing on the current techno sound, not too mention remixing his official DJ website! Stay tuned!!
Chris Gallagher's record debut was in 1999 with the release of “Can U Feel It” on Xquizit Records. The track went on to sell over 3000 units and was licensed for use on five DJs mixed CDs: DJ Voodoo, Huda Hudia, Rick West, Debbie D, and DJ X. In 2001 he released “Rippin up Wax” on Juice Recordings. In addition to destroying dancefloors nationwide, the track was licensed for Baby Anne’s Dark Side of the Boom CD as well as Eric Baretta’s CD. 2002 saw the release of Chris' first official mixed CD, entitled The Breakbeat Bunch Volume 2, featuring original music productions and other hotties from the Juice crew.
The fans of Chris Gallagher are always hungry for the old tapes, full of classic House music and Techno music and many have been made available as a mp3 music download. There are so many more in the archive to be digitized and in the near future they will all be accessible here, for free.
